PSL Players Auction Complete, Details of Expensive and Cheap Players Revealed

The players auction for the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League was completed at the Expo Center in Lahore, where more than 800 domestic and foreign players were available for auction. All franchises completed their squads of 16 to 20 players.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi also attended the event and presented special Markhor-themed jerseys to the franchise owners on the occasion of the T20 World Cup 2026.

The auction began with Pakistani all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, who was bought by Islamabad United for Rs 85 million. The most expensive player was Naseem Shah, for whom the Rawalpindi team made the highest bid of Rs 86.5 million. Among the foreign players, New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell was acquired by Rawalpindi for Rs 85 million.

Karachi Kings bought Australian star David Warner for Rs79 million, while Salman Ali Agha was added to their squad for Rs58.5 million. Wicketkeeper Azam Khan was bought by Karachi Kings for Rs32.5 million.

Lahore Qalandars retained Fakhar Zaman for Rs79.5 million, while fast bowler Haris Rauf was re-inducted into the team for Rs76 million. Usama Mir became a part of Lahore Qalandars for Rs35 million.

Quetta Gladiators bought Riley Russo for Rs55.5 million, while Khawaja Nafi was added for Rs65 million. Jahandad Khan was bought for Rs25 million and Faisal Akram for Rs12.5 million.

Peshawar Zalmi brought back Mohammad Haris for Rs 22 million, while Amir Jamal was brought back for Rs 19 million and Iftikhar Ahmed for Rs 18 million. Michael Bracewell and Kaushal Mendis were bought for Rs 42 million each.

Islamabad United brought back Mohammad Wasim Jr for Rs 41 million, while spending Rs 70 million on Kiwi batsman Mark Chapman. Max Bryant joined Islamabad United for Rs 19.5 million.

Sialkot Stallions, who joined the league as a new team, bought Sahibzada Farhan for Rs 57 million. Ashton Turner was selected for Rs 42 million while Jahanzeb Sultan was selected for Rs 6 million.

Hyderabad Kings bought fast bowler Mohammad Ali for Rs 21.5 million, while Kaushal Perera was added for Rs 31 million. Hassan Khan was acquired for Rs 18.5 million.

A large number of players were selected even for the minimum price of Rs 6 million, including Mohammad Owais Zafar, Mirza Tahir Baig, Khalid Usman, Liclan Shaw, Delano Potgieter and several young cricketers, who were given a chance by various franchises.

At the end of the auction, all the teams declared their squads balanced, while fans are hopeful that the upcoming PSL season will prove to be very interesting due to tough competition, big names and new talent.
