ICC Takes Important Step on India-Pakistan Match, Calls for Meeting of Asian Boards before World Cup

The International Cricket Council has taken an important decision in the context of deteriorating relations between Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, which will be implemented before the Pakistan-India match. This development was confirmed by Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam in an interview given to a local newspaper.

According to Aminul Islam, the ICC has decided to invite the cricket board heads of Asian countries before the Pakistan-India match in the T20 World Cup on February 15. On this occasion, all the heads will also be present in the pavilion together, which is an unusual sight in the current circumstances.

He said that the purpose of this invitation is not just a symbolic meeting but a regular dialogue so that a solution to the existing problems can be found through dialogue and the tense atmosphere can be reduced.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board President said that this meeting will be organized by the ICC in Colombo, where it will be given the form of a formal meeting. According to him, the tension that arose before the World Cup affected the atmosphere of international cricket, which is being improved by this step.

The meeting is expected to be attended by the cricket board heads of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Aminul Islam said that the ICC wants this meeting to be held before February 15 and an attempt should be made to normalize the situation through serious and meaningful discussions.
