Pakistan’s rising squash player Mahnoor Ali has qualified for the final of the International Junior Squash Championship after putting up a brilliant performance.
In the semi-finals of the event being held in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, Mahnoor Ali defeated Singapore’s strong rival and Asia’s top seed Jacinta Han 2-3 after a thrilling encounter. Mahnoor, the youngest of the Ali sisters from Peshawar, displayed confidence and skill throughout the match and won the title.
On the other hand, her elder sister Sehrish Ali could not make it to the semi-finals and lost 1-3 to top Malaysian player Muhammad Khairul Nizam Misra.
The tournament is part of the Asian Junior Super Series, where Mahnoor Ali now looks determined to win the title in the final.
