PCB Chairman Announces New Rewards for PSL Team Owners

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced significant new rewards for PSL team owners.

In a post on social media platform X, Naqvi revealed that not only the winning team but also the franchise owners will receive prize money. The champion team’s owner will get $500,000, while the runner-up team’s owner will receive $300,000.

Additionally, the PSL franchise owner who contributes the most to cricket development will be awarded $200,000.

According to the PCB chief, these initiatives aim to further elevate Pakistan cricket to new heights.

Currently, the prize money awarded to winning teams is divided among players, support staff, and other stakeholders. However, the newly announced amounts of $500,000, $300,000, and $200,000 will be exclusively for the team owners.

Mohsin Naqvi tweeted:
"Complementing the Pakistan Super League's growth, I am thrilled to announce a new Reward for Franchises in the forthcoming editions: Champions: $500,000 | Runners-up: $300,000 | Best Franchise contributing towards Cricket Development: $200,000."
