Pakistan’s star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been sidelined after sustaining a minor injury to the fascia tissue in his foot, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Friday.

According to PCB officials, Shaheen has been placed under the supervision of the medical team, where his condition is being closely monitored. The board stated that the injury is not serious, but requires careful management to avoid further complications.

The medical team is conducting regular assessments of Shaheen’s progress, and a final decision regarding his availability will only be made after he shows significant improvement and receives full medical clearance.

Team management has emphasized that Shaheen’s fitness and complete recovery remain their top priority, ensuring he returns to action only when fully ready.
