New feature for quick access to status in WhatsApp Chats is Being Tested

Messaging app WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow users to view statuses without having to leave the chat tab. The app's top bar, where the profile icon appears, will allow users to access statuses directly.

With this feature, the statuses of the people you chat with the most will appear at the top of the chat tab, making it easier to see updates while chatting. Another option is also being considered, in which contacts' statuses will appear in a row when you scroll down in the chat bar.

According to reports, the company is testing various design options to provide quick access to status updates. Currently, this feature is in the testing phase and there is no final time when it will be introduced to all users.
