FIFA Announces Official Draw for the 2026 World Cup

Football’s global governing body, FIFA, has officially revealed the draw for the 2026 World Cup, marking the beginning of preparations for what will be the biggest tournament in the event’s history.
The draw ceremony was held in the United States, one of the host nations for the upcoming World Cup, and was attended by several notable personalities, including U.S. President Donald Trump.
The 2026 World Cup will be played across three countries — the United States, Canada, and Mexico — making it the first tri-nation hosted World Cup.
A total of 48 teams will participate in the event, divided into 12 groups, each consisting of four teams.

Group A: Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, plus the Playoff-D qualifier
Group B: Canada, Qatar, Switzerland, plus the Playoff-A qualifier
