Fakhar Zaman files appeal against ban, technical committee to decide

Fakhar Zaman has filed a formal appeal against the two-match ban imposed in the Pakistan Super League.

According to sources, the Lahore Qalandars opener has challenged the decision of match referee Roshan Mahanama and has placed the matter before the PSL technical committee.

According to reports, the three-member technical committee will hear the appeal and will conduct a detailed review of the match referee’s decision. The committee will give a final decision after considering Fakhar Zaman’s position and the available evidence.

It should be remembered that Fakhar Zaman was accused of ball tampering during the match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings, but the player denied these allegations in both hearings.

He was suspended for two matches by the match referee, against which the appeal phase has now begun.
