Australian cricketer David Warner, who leads Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League, has been arrested by police in Sydney.
According to media reports, Warner was stopped while driving under the influence of alcohol, where during the test, his body was found to have twice the legal limit of alcohol. He was then taken into custody and transferred to Maroubra Police Station.
According to sources, David Warner had gone to Australia from Pakistan for a few days, but now he will have to appear in court next month.
This development is being considered a major setback for Karachi Kings, as the team is currently in good form in the event and has won its first three matches.
Karachi Kings’ next match is scheduled against Peshawar Zalmi on April 9, where the team may face the absence of its captain.
