Pakistan has announced a 16-member squad for the three-match ODI series against Australia. Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the team while Salman Ali Agha will be the vice-captain.
The biggest news in this squad is the drop of Mohammad Rizwan, which is a quite surprising decision. In his place, Mohammad Ghazi Ghori and Rohail Nazir have been given a chance as wicketkeeper-batsmen. On the other hand, Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan and Sufyan Muqeem have returned to the team. Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub are currently in rehab due to injuries, while Usman Khan has not been considered due to illness.
The complete squad is: Shaheen Shah Afridi, Salman Ali Agha, Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Irfan Niaz, Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Ghazi Ghori, Naseem Shah, Rohail Nazir, Sahibzada Farhan, Shadab Khan, Shamyl Hussain, Sufyan Muqeem.
The series will be played from May 30 to June 4 in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
