New Zealand's historic achievement, setting a new record by surpassing the target of 346 runs

New Zealand women's cricket team set a new precedent in the history of women's ODI cricket by achieving a huge target of 346 runs against South Africa women's cricket team.

In this thrilling match played at Basin Reserve, captain Amelia Kerr played an unbeaten innings of 179 runs off 139 balls and gave the team a memorable victory.

In pursuit of the target, New Zealand did not have a good start and the early wicket fell early, while the team was under pressure in the middle overs. However, Amelia Kerr turned the tide of the match by establishing a crucial partnership of 120 runs with Izzy Gaze.

Later, the captain adopted an aggressive approach and batted fast in the last overs and gave the team victory off the last two balls of the match. She completed her century off 90 balls while scoring the last 79 runs off just 49 balls.

Earlier, South Africa, batting first, had scored 346 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, however, this big score also fell short in the face of the determination of the Kiwi team.
