Pakistan's experienced all-rounder Faheem Ashraf has been included in the squad for this season's Vitality Blast by English County Club Yorkshire. He will replace Australian all-rounder Will Sutherland, who is out of the tournament due to a shoulder injury.
The 32-year-old Faheem Ashraf is no stranger to county cricket. He has previously represented Northamptonshire and Sussex and is familiar with English conditions due to that experience. He will join the squad ahead of Yorkshire's first Vitality Blast match against Nottinghamshire on May 22. He will also be available for two County Championship matches against Warwickshire and Leicestershire.
Faheem Ashraf has played 85 T20 Internationals for Pakistan and is the only other player to complete 1000 runs and 100 wickets in the PSL. Expressing his happiness at joining Yorkshire, he said that many Pakistani players have represented the club and have always heard praise for the atmosphere and quality of the club.
