Mohsin Naqvi receives invitation to ICC board meeting in Ahmedabad, PM's approval required

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has received an official invitation to the ICC Board Meeting and IPL Final to be held in India. The ICC meetings will be held in two phases, the first Chief Executive Committee meeting will be held online on May 21, while the main Board Meeting will be held in Ahmedabad on May 30 and 31.

The meeting will consider possible changes in the format of the WTC. Under the current system, at least two Test matches are mandatory in each series, which may be reviewed. In addition, the proposal to include Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan in the WTC will also be considered.

Mohsin Naqvi will represent the PCB in this meeting, but the final decision on his departure to India is subject to the approval of the Prime Minister. This trip is also politically important in view of the tense relations between Pakistan and India.
