Fatima Sana will be the captain of the Pakistan Women's team until the World Cup, starting with India

Fatima Sana will also lead the Pakistan Women’s team in the tri-nation series in Ireland and then in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. The tri-nation series will be played in Dublin from May 28 to June 4, involving Pakistan, Ireland and the West Indies. Pakistan recently won the T20 series against Zimbabwe in Karachi 3-0.
Before the World Cup, Pakistan will play warm-up matches against Sri Lanka on June 6 and Scotland on June 9. The World Cup will begin on June 14 in Birmingham against arch-rivals India and then the schedule is as follows:

• June 17: Against South Africa
• June 20: Against Bangladesh
• June 23: Against Australia
• June 27: Last group match against Netherlands in Bristol

Iman Fatima, Natalia Parvaiz, Ramin Shamim, Saira Jabeen and Tasmiya Rubab will play the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time.
