YouTube changes monetization policy to discourage harmful content

Video streaming platform YouTube has introduced significant changes to its monetization policy to discourage low-quality and ineffective content.
Under the new policy, YouTube will now take action against content that it deems ‘unsatisfactory or offensive content’. The move is aimed at discouraging videos that are unrealistic, artificial or based on the same style formulas.
According to the policy, videos that copy others, use the same methods repeatedly to gain the engagement beat or viewer attention, or that are based on repeated templates rather than creative styles, may be taken against.
YouTube has made it clear that it will now prioritize channels that offer original, unique and quality content.
According to the new guidelines, if a creator creates content based on generic or similar templates simply to get more views, reach, and engagement, their account's monetization may be affected, as videos that rely on overly generic templates or emotionally appealing methods will be considered a policy violation.
