Apple to hold launch event on September 9, first major event under new CEO

Apple's next major launch event will be held at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California, on September 9. The event will begin at 10 p.m. PST and will mark the first time that John Turing will lead the company as CEO.

Current CEO Tim Cook will step down on September 1 and take over as executive chairman. This will be Apple's first major launch event under the new CEO.

Invitations sent to the media feature the phrase "Surprise and Shine" and a bright Apple logo. Analysts predict that the event will feature new iPhones and Apple Watch models, including the company's first folding iPhone.

Apple also announced new Mac mini and Mac Studio models this week, which will start shipping on September 22.

A new version of Siri, called Siri AI, is also expected to be introduced at the event. It will use advanced Large Language Model technology, which will allow Siri to work more effectively with various apps, including messaging and calendar.
