Telegram chief claims EU age verification app can be hacked in two minutes

Telegram founder Pavel Durov has strongly criticized the European Union's new age verification app, saying it has a fundamental security flaw and can be hacked in just two minutes.

In his post on X, he also said that EU bureaucrats should not be quick to ridicule them because, according to him, the flaw was actually left on purpose to justify restricting user freedom.

It should be recalled that the European Commission, while announcing the app last week, claimed that it would make online platforms accountable and prioritize child safety over commercial interests, however, Durov's statement has cast doubt on this claim.
