T20 World Cup: Pakistan's big win against Namibia, entry into Super 8 stage

Pakistan qualified for the Super 8 stage by defeating Namibia by 102 runs in a crucial match of the T20 World Cup after a one-sided contest. In this match played in Colombo, the superiority of the Pakistani team in both the batting and bowling departments was clear.

Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first and thanks to a brilliant century by opener Sahibzada Farhan, they put up a strong total of 199 runs for 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Farhan remained unbeaten on 100 runs while Shadab Khan played a quick innings of 36 runs to further consolidate the score. Captain Salman Ali Agha scored 38 runs, while the other batsmen could not stay on the wicket for long. This was Farhan's first T20 International century and he became the second Pakistani batsman to score a century in the World Cup after Ahmed Shehzad.

In pursuit of the target, the Namibian team was under pressure from the beginning and kept losing wickets at intervals. Eight players were out by 16 overs and the team could not even complete 100 runs. The entire team was bowled out for 97 runs in the 17th over. For Pakistan, Usman Tariq took four wickets, Shadab Khan took three wickets, while Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Mirza took one wicket each.

With this victory, Pakistan not only won the match but also ensured a place in the next stage of the tournament.
