Momina Iqbal issues legal notice to Nasir Madni

The dispute between actress Momina Iqbal and religious scholar Nasir Madni has intensified.

Momina Iqbal, through her lawyer, Advocate Adnan Ehsan Khan, has issued a legal notice to Nasir Madni, demanding an explanation, apology and removal of the relevant content for the alleged defamatory statements.

The legal notice has taken the position that some of the statements made by Nasir Madni about Momina Iqbal have caused damage to her reputation, honor and professional life. According to the notice, these remarks fall under the category of defamation, therefore, they should be immediately denied and a public apology should be made.

The notice further states that if the demands are not met within the stipulated period, the actress reserves the right to take further action to protect her legal rights.

This development has come at a time when Momina Iqbal is already in the news due to various legal disputes and harassment cases.

Before the legal notice was issued, Momina Iqbal had reacted strongly to Nasir Madni's statements through her Instagram story. The actress said that Nasir Madni had further fueled the allegations and slander against her by sitting on the pulpit.

Momina Iqbal had written that she would be a leader in the courts of both this world and the hereafter, because she herself and Allah Almighty know the truth of the allegations made against her. She had clearly said that she would not forgive Nasir Madni.

The actress also took the stand in her post that in Islam, accusing someone without evidence and damaging their honor is a serious sin. She quoted the verses of Surah Noor and said that everything has to be accounted for and justice must be done.
