Instant messaging application WhatsApp is rolling out new features for Android users that can make everyday use easier and faster.
According to WhatsApp Beta Info, WhatsApp is working on a new home screen widget that will allow users to record voice messages directly from their home screen without opening the app. Once the voice note is recorded, the message can be sent immediately by selecting the contact of their choice. The aim of this feature is to make the process of sending voice messages faster and easier than ever.
In addition, WhatsApp has also started testing another new widget in Android beta version 2.26.18.5.
This widget will show users on the home screen which people have recently shared status updates, which will eliminate the need to open the app to keep track of status activity.
The new widget will also include a shortcut to update status, while WhatsApp's special ranking system will highlight the contacts with whom the user has the most conversations or contact.
