Shaun Tait resigns as Bangladesh fast bowling coach

Bangladesh cricket team fast bowling coach and former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait has resigned from his post ahead of the multi-format series against Australia.

According to Bangladeshi media reports, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed Talha Jubeer as the interim fast bowling coach. BCB operations chairman Shahryar Nafees also confirmed the appointment.

The BCB said in a statement that Shaun Tait had informed the board in view of personal commitments and circumstances. After mutual consultation, it was considered the appropriate decision for him to step down. The board took this decision amicably and by mutual consent.

Shaun Tait played a significant role in developing several Bangladesh fast bowlers during his coaching tenure, among which young pacer Naheed Rana stands out.

Shaun Tait, describing his resignation as a difficult decision, praised the hard work, dedication and professional attitude of the Bangladeshi players.

Talha Jubair will now temporarily take over as fast bowling coach and will lead the team in the crucial series against Australia.
