Pakistan U-18 hockey team reaches semi-finals

Pakistan has qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing U-18 Hockey Asia Cup 2026 in Japan with a brilliant performance.
Pakistan defeated Bangladesh 5-2 in the crucial group stage match played in Kakamegahara.
Abdullah scored two goals for Pakistan, while Adeel, Asam and Mohammad Yahya scored one goal each and played an important role in the team’s victory. For Bangladesh, Teerak Islam and Muna Islam scored one goal each.
Mohammad Yahya was awarded the Player of the Match award for his outstanding performance.
With this victory, Pakistan not only made it to the semi-finals but also established itself as a strong contender for the title.
Pakistan will face arch-rivals India in the semi-finals on June 5.
Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani congratulated the team, coaches and staff and said that this victory is the result of tireless work. He expressed hope that the junior team would perform well in the semi-finals and reach the finals.
