Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi has achieved a historic feat in an ODI match against Australia.
Shaheen Afridi has become the third captain to take a wicket on the first ball of an innings as captain in an ODI.
In a match played in Lahore, Shaheen achieved this feat by dismissing Australian opener Alex Carey on the first ball.
With this honor, Shaheen made a place in the list of two great former captains of Pakistan, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.
Wasim Akram had dismissed Zimbabwe's Andy Flower on the first ball in Karachi in 1993.
Waqar Younis had dismissed England's Marcus Trescothick on the first ball in 2001.
Shaheen did not limit himself to taking a wicket on the first ball only, but bowled well throughout the match, taking 3 wickets for 36 runs in 8 overs.
This proved to be a memorable performance for both Shaheen Afridi's leadership and bowling.
