Radha, the wife of Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav, who is in Tihar Jail in a cheque bounce case, has praised the film industry for supporting him in this difficult time. She says that she and her family have received full support from the industry during this trying time, for which she is grateful to everyone.
According to Indian media, Rajpal Yadav surrendered before the Tihar Jail authorities in Delhi due to financial difficulties due to non-payment of the loan amount on time. The actor's wife Radha told the Indian News Agency that many actors are in personal contact and are trying to help in every possible way, which has boosted his morale.
Rajpal Yadav's bail hearing is expected today and the family hopes that he will be released on bail soon. According to reports, several famous actors from the film industry have come forward to support him and efforts are underway to help him in legal and financial matters.
The actor's supporters include Sonu Sood, Mika Singh and Gurmeet Chaudhary, while Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Varun Dhawan have also expressed their support. This support comes after Rajpal Yadav made an emotional statement in which he said that he has no close friends in the industry, after which several celebrities came out in support of him.
According to Rajpal Yadav's manager, various people have promised to help, but such financial matters are not resolved immediately. He said that the family has to be mentally strong as there are also family celebrations after February and everyone wants Rajpal Yadav to be released before then.
It may be recalled that Rajpal Yadav has been known for his comedy acting in successful films like Bhool Bhliyan, Hungama, Dhol, Chaap Chaap Ke, Phir Hera Pheri and Kal Ho Na Ho in his career.
In the cheque bounce case, the Delhi High Court had rejected his plea for more time to pay the dues, after which he was sent to jail. The actor owes around Rs 9 crore. Earlier in 2018, he was also sentenced for non-payment of loan, but was later granted bail, while in June 2024, the High Court temporarily suspended the sentence under certain conditions.
