Petrol cheaper, Prime Minister's big announcement, new price set at Rs 378 per liter

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a significant reduction in the price of petrol and has reduced the levy by Rs 80 per liter, after which the new price of petrol has been set at Rs 378 per liter. The new prices have been implemented immediately.

Addressing the nation, the Prime Minister said that due to the ongoing war in the Gulf region, oil prices have increased rapidly in the global market, which is also having an impact on Pakistan. He said that the government has spent Rs 129 billion to provide relief to the people during the last three weeks so that the burden of inflation can be kept low.

He said that despite the difficult circumstances, the government has prioritized the public interest and every effort is being made to minimize the burden on the common man. The Prime Minister said that in the current situation, farmers, laborers and ordinary citizens are facing severe difficulties, which is why the government has taken steps to provide relief.

The government has also continued the subsidy package under which motorcycle users will be given a subsidy of Rs. 100 per liter, while financial assistance will also be provided for public transport and freight vehicles so that the prices of essential commodities do not increase.

The Prime Minister further said that Pakistan is being affected by the global situation, but the government is trying to provide maximum convenience to the people by utilizing national resources. He expressed hope that peace will be established in the region soon, which will improve the economic situation.
