PCB takes major action against Naseem Shah, fined Rs 20 million

The Pakistan Cricket Board has imposed a fine of Rs 20 million on fast bowler Naseem Shah for violating the central contract and social media guidelines.

According to the board, the player was issued a show cause notice on March 27, after which a three-member disciplinary committee heard the matter. An unconditional apology from Naseem Shah was also made part of the record.

After investigating and reviewing the evidence, the committee declared that he violated several clauses of the central contract and social media rules, for which this financial penalty was imposed.

On the other hand, Naseem Shah’s social media advisor has also been fired, while the PCB has decided to blacklist this advisor, after which he will not be able to work with any PCB contracted player.

The PCB has made it clear that the board will ensure professional standards, discipline and full compliance with contracts at all costs.
