Nahid Rana wins ICC Player of the Month award

Bangladeshi fast bowler Nahid Rana, who bowled devastatingly in the first Test against Pakistan, has won the ICC Player of the Month award for April. This is the first time he has won this honour and with this he becomes the second male cricketer from Bangladesh after Mehidy Hasan Miraz to win the award.

In April, Nahid Rana proved his skills by taking 8 wickets in just three matches in the ODI series against New Zealand. A month earlier, in March, he had also taken 8 wickets in the ODI series against Pakistan.

His bowling in the first Test against Pakistan this month changed the course of the match. When the match was heading towards a draw in the second innings, Nahid Rana took wickets one after the other to dismiss Pakistan and give Bangladesh a memorable victory. The young pacer is making his place in international cricket very quickly.
