Sarah Taylor becomes first woman to join England men's team coaching staff

England Cricket has made a historic decision. Former women's wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor has been appointed as the Fielding Coach of the England senior men's cricket team, becoming the first woman to be appointed to the England men's coaching staff. The ECB has announced her appointment for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand.

The appointment is temporary as permanent Fielding Coach Carl Hopkinson is currently busy with IPL franchise Mumbai Indians.

Sarah Taylor is no stranger to cricket. She is considered one of the best wicketkeepers in the history of women's cricket. She played 226 international matches for England between 2006 and 2019 and was also part of the 2017 World Cup-winning team. After leaving the game, she turned to coaching and has worked with the Sussex men's team, Manchester Originals and England Lions.

England men's cricket director Rob Key said that Sarah Taylor is one of the best coaches in her field and her work with the England Lions has been extremely impressive.
