Pakistan Hosts First-Ever Private Sector Drone Tech Expo Showcasing Advanced UAV Innovations

Pakistan organized its first private sector Drone Tech Expo, showcasing cutting-edge unmanned aircraft technology at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad.
The event was held on December 3 and 4, in collaboration with Drone Tech X and supported by the Ministry of Defence Production and DEPO. The expo featured seminars focused on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Counter-UAS technology, where experts discussed development, manufacturing, and operational support of modern drones.
More than 50 companies participated in the opening ceremony, displaying local expertise in drone design, production, and advanced system integration.
The event strengthened cooperation between industry and academia, providing a platform for research partnerships, technology innovation, and future business opportunities.
Officials emphasized that Pakistan’s first private Drone Tech Expo marks a major milestone, showcasing the country's potential in the global drone technology market and its growing role in defense and commercial sectors.
