Google has released its annual list of the most searched topics in Pakistan for the year 2025. According to the company, the rankings are based on billions of searches conducted throughout the year across six major categories.

Cricket — The Most Dominating Search Category

Cricket once again remained Pakistan’s most searched theme online.
The top trending query was “Pakistan vs. South Africa.”

Other leading searches included:
Pakistan Super League, Asia Cup, Pakistan vs. India, Pakistan vs. New Zealand, India vs. England, Pakistan vs. West Indies, India vs. Australia, ICC Champions Trophy, and Pakistan vs. UAE.

Athletes — Abhishek Sharma Tops the List

In the athletes’ category, Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma ranked as the most searched player in Pakistan.

He was followed by:
Hasan Nawaz, Irfan Khan Niazi, Sahibzada Farhan, Mohammad Abbas, Saim Ayub, Yasir Khan, Saif Hassan, and Abdul Samad.

Local News — Floods & Gold Prices Among Top Searches

Local events and issues remained heavily searched throughout the year.
Top trends included:

It was followed by:
