The Bangladesh Cricket Board has withdrawn the NOCs of its two key bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana, who are playing in the PSL after winning the ODI series against New Zealand, due to which both players will not be able to represent their respective teams in the remaining matches of the PSL 2026.
According to the BCB, Mustafizur Rahman’s NOC was withdrawn because he is suffering from a knee injury and the board wants him to be scanned immediately and a rehabilitation program started under the supervision of the medical team. It should be noted that Mustafizur could not play the first two matches of the series against New Zealand due to injury, but made a brilliant comeback in the last match in Chittagong and took 5 wickets. In the PSL, he was playing for Lahore Qalandars and had taken 6 wickets in 5 matches before returning to Bangladesh.
Nahid Rana’s NOC was withdrawn because the BCB has decided to rest him in the first two matches of the upcoming T20 series against New Zealand. Nahid was playing for Peshawar Zalmi and took 7 wickets in 4 matches, including a brilliant 4-wicket haul in one match.
Moving forward, Nahid Rana will be part of Bangladesh in the Test series against Pakistan in May, while Mustafizur Rahman is expected to play in the ODI series against Australia in June.
