At the beginning of 2026, Google-owned video platform YouTube removed more than 4.7 billion views linked to low-quality AI-generated videos, commonly referred to as AI slop.
According to details, an initial report released in November 2025 by online video editing platform Kapwing identified the 100 most-subscribed AI slop channels on YouTube.
Kapwing’s latest report reveals that 16 of those channels have now been removed from YouTube. These include CuentosFacianantes, which produced low-quality Dragon Ball-themed videos, Imperio de Jesus, and Super Cat League. Some of these channels have been completely deleted, while others have had all of their content removed.
Collectively, the 16 removed channels had more than 35 million subscribers, with their videos accumulating over 4.7 billion views and reportedly generating up to $10 million annually.
Although some major AI-generated content channels from the list are still present on the platform, their videos have also been taken down. Experts believe YouTube is using its existing spam detection systems to crack down on AI-generated low-quality content and curb misuse of automated video production.
