Junaid Khan, son of Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan, may soon star in a new horror film with actress Tamannaah Bhatia, which will be the return of Ekta Kapoor's famous franchise Ragini MMS.
According to Indian media reports, the Ragini MMS series is being restarted, however this time the film will be titled Ragini 3 instead of Ragini MMS 3. The project will be directed by Shashank Ghosh, while Sahir Raza will be part of the creative team.
Sources say that talks are on with Tamannaah Bhatia and Junaid Khan for the lead roles, but no official announcement has been made yet. In the past, there were also reports that the film has been stopped indefinitely, but now there are indications that the project has been revived.
Reports also state that the rumours of a director change due to scheduling issues were not true and the film will continue to be helmed by Shashank Ghosh. The film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor, who has also been associated with the first two parts.
It may be recalled that the first part of Ragini MMS was released in 2011, starring Rajkummar Rao and Kainat Motiwala, while the sequel, which came out in 2014, featured Sunny Leone and Sahil Prem. Details regarding the story of the new film are currently being kept under wraps, but fans are watching this potential casting with great interest.
