Another glimpse from the promotional campaign for Shah Rukh Khan’s new film, King, has been revealed, with the actor’s look reminding fans of his past film, Baadshah. The new poster has garnered attention on social media due to its resemblance to the 1999 release. It was shared on Instagram by the film’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment.
In the new poster, Shah Rukh Khan appears as a mysterious and dangerous figure, yet a romantic element is also evident in his persona. The accompanying caption—"Not a killer, but a lover"—highlights the very duality around which his character in the film is built.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film will feature Shah Rukh Khan alongside Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, and Anil Kapoor.
Various looks of Shah Rukh Khan have previously surfaced during the promotion of King. In an earlier promotional clip, he was seen with a wounded face, white hair, and a playing card held between his lips. That video also incorporated a famous line from his hit film Om Shanti Om: "The picture is not over yet" (picture abhi baaki hai).
The film blends action with romance, with Shah Rukh Khan’s character seemingly embodying two contrasting sides: that of a dangerous individual and a lover. The film is scheduled for release on December 24, 2026.
