Elon Musk shared the wrong video, community notice clarified the truth

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has once again made a factual error on social media. He shared a video on his platform X and claimed that it was live-streamed from Antarctica via Starlink.
X’s community notes later corrected the claim, saying that the video was actually from Patagonia, which is not Antarctica but a region in South America. After this clarification, Elon Musk’s claim was proven wrong.
The issue began when a user, Cyr Merritt, shared a Starlink Super Bowl ad on February 9 and wrote that SpaceX has made a Super Bowl ad for Starlink for the first time. Responding to this, Elon Musk said that most people still don’t know that Starlink provides fast, low-latency and low-cost internet to almost every part of the world.
Later, another user, Mario Nofel, shared a video of a natural ice cave in Patagonia that looks like a cathedral. He claimed that the famous ice wall of Antarctica was live-streamed for the first time with the help of Starlink, calling it a game-changer for the streaming industry.
Elon Musk backed up the claim by writing that the video was indeed live-streamed from Antarctica via Starlink. However, the community notice clarified that the creator of the video himself is saying that he is streaming from Patagonia, which is located in South America, so this live stream is not from Antarctica.
