Audio and video calling feature soon to be introduced on WhatsApp Web

WhatsApp, the world's most popular messaging app, is set to introduce audio and video calling features to its web version. Users can already make calls in the mobile app, but this facility was not available on the web until now.

According to a report by Web Beta Info, WhatsApp has enabled audio and video calling features in the web version for limited beta users. Under this, users can make calls in one-on-one chats and can also do screen sharing.

These calls will be secured with end-to-end encryption like the mobile app. The report says that this feature is initially available to limited users, but it is likely to be released to all web users soon.
