At the start of the Super Eight stage, Google has released a colorful doodle for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, which has caught the attention of cricket fans. The design, made in bright colors and 3D style, prominently depicts the speed and excitement of T20 cricket.
The Super Eight stage of this mega event of the tenth edition begins today with a match between Pakistan and New Zealand. The tournament, which has been ongoing since February 7, has 20 teams participating and several unexpected results have emerged in the initial stage, which has made the competition even tougher.
In the event, the Netherlands and the United States upset strong teams, while England also faced difficulties against relatively weak opponents. Australia was eliminated from the event after defeats to Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, while first-time participant Italy won its first World Cup in its history. Zimbabwe remained undefeated in the group stage and one of its matches ended in a draw due to rain.
Group One of the Super Eights includes India, South Africa, West Indies and Zimbabwe, while Group Two will feature Pakistan, England, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. Interestingly, all the teams in Group One have been unbeaten in the event so far.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be played on March 4 and 5, while the final will be played on March 8 in Ahmedabad or Colombo.
