No Real Madrid players in Spain's World Cup squad

European champions Spain have announced their 26-man squad for the upcoming World Cup. The biggest thing is that not a single Real Madrid player is included in this squad. This is the first time in Spain's history that the team will go to the World Cup without a Real Madrid player.
Head coach Luis de la Fuente has based the squad mostly on Barcelona players. The squad includes eight Barcelona players, including stars like Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres.
On the other hand, important Real Madrid players like Dani Carvajal and David Alaba may not make it to the squad.
Luis de la Fuente explained the decision by saying that for him, the player's affiliation with the national team is not important to any club. He said that he only wants players who are proud to represent Spain.
Seven players from the Premier League have also been included in the squad. The coach also expressed satisfaction about the injuries of Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams and said that all players will be fully fit by the start of the tournament.
