New Password Feature Ready for WhatsApp Accounts

WhatsApp, the popular messaging app owned by California-based Meta, is working on a new account password feature to further strengthen the security of its users. After this update, the user will have to enter an additional password along with the traditional 6-digit verification code when logging in.
According to technology platform WABetaInfo, this new method will provide better protection for accounts from hacking. That is, even if someone has a verification code, it will not be possible to access the account without an additional password.

If a user has already enabled two-step verification, the app will first ask for that code and then ask for a new account password. This will create a double layer of security.
This feature is still in the development stage and is likely to be introduced for all users in future updates, which will help make accounts more secure.
