WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature for iPhone users that will completely change the way you see your online contacts. According to a report by WaBetaInfo, currently you have to open each chat separately to see someone's online status, but soon all this work will be done in one place.
The new Contacts Hub will show Favorite Contacts at the top, people who are currently online will be shown below, and a list of recently active contacts at the bottom. This new section will be available in WhatsApp Settings.
The current rules regarding privacy will remain in place. Only users who allow their online status to be shown to others will be able to see the status of others. That is, if you have hidden your status, you will not be able to see others' status.
