BTS wins "Artist of the Year" at the American Music Awards

BTS once again proved their extraordinary popularity in the world of music by winning the prestigious award of “Artist of the Year” at the American Music Awards.

BTS achieved this success by beating out several world-renowned artists at the American Music Awards ceremony held in Las Vegas. The nominees included many big names, including Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, Harry Styles and Lady Gaga.

This achievement is also of particular importance because the members of BTS have been busy completing South Korea’s mandatory military service for the past few years. In 2022, all members of the group, including RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jungkook and Jimin, took a break from music to perform military service in phases.

After completing their military service, the group resumed activities and released their new album on March 20, which was well received by fans around the world. Along with this, concerts in various countries have also resumed.

Following BTS' new success, their fans, known as the "BTS Army", expressed their joy on social media, calling the group's comeback historic. The honor is being seen as proof that BTS's global popularity has not diminished despite the long hiatus.
