Nahid Rana found guilty of violating ICC code of conduct

Bangladesh's young fast bowler Nahid Rana has been found guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct in the first One-Day International against Australia.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Nahid Rana breached Level One of the Code of Conduct during the match, for which he was reprimanded and given a demerit point.

Nahid Rana admitted his mistake and accepted the punishment, after which a formal hearing was not required.

He behaved aggressively and used inappropriate language after dismissing Australian batsman Josh Ingles.

Nahid Rana showed excellent bowling in this match, taking 4 wickets.

Bangladesh defeated Australia by 86 runs in the first ODI played in Dhaka to take a 1-0 lead in the series. The rain-affected match was decided under the DLS law.
