Apple adds code for foldable iPhone to iOS 27 beta

Technology company Apple has released its iOS 27 developer beta version. In this version, the company has included code that seems to be related only to the foldable iPhone.

Apple is going to launch its first foldable phone called the iPhone Ultra this year. The code included in the new beta shows support for the same device.

The expected foldable iPhone is expected to support running two apps simultaneously (side-by-side multitasking) and an iPad-like app layout.

Tech expert Sam Henry Gold has pointed out that the iOS 27 frameworks contain references such as ‘fold state’ and ‘angle degrees’. In addition, functions that check the number of built-in displays are also included.

9to5Mac has confirmed that these references were not present in iOS 26. These changes are a clear indication that Apple is busy preparing a foldable iPhone.
