The price of aircraft fuel has been increased again, after which jet fuel has become expensive by Rs 83 per liter to a record level of Rs 471 per liter.
According to sources, the price of jet fuel has increased by a total of Rs 283 per liter since March 1. The continuous increase in prices and fuel shortage has made it difficult for airlines to continue operations.
Due to this situation, the fares of domestic and international flights are likely to increase further, as fuel costs constitute a major part of the expenses of airlines.
It should be remembered that on March 1, the price of jet fuel was only Rs 188 per liter, and this has been increased for the fourth time during March, which shows the rapidly increasing pressure.
Sources also say that aviation gasoline used in training aircraft has also become expensive, which may also affect the flight training sector.
