Iran will play in the 2026 FIFA World Cup but put 10 conditions infront of the host countries

The Iranian Football Federation has confirmed that Iran will participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The team’s participation was in doubt due to tensions and political conflicts in the Middle East, but it has now been officially announced that the team will participate in the tournament.

However, the president of the Iranian Football Federation, Mehdi Taj, has set 10 conditions for the host countries America, Canada and Mexico, the most important of which are that visas should be issued to players and officials without any obstacles, the national flag and anthem should be fully respected and the team should be provided with complete security everywhere. Iran has specifically sought visa assurances for players who have had links with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in the past, including Mehdi Taremi and Ehsan.

FIFA President Infantino has already made it clear that Iran’s matches in America will be played as scheduled. Iran has been placed in Group G with New Zealand, Belgium and Egypt and the team will play its first match on June 15 in Los Angeles.
