Arafat Minhas' impressive record of five wickets on ODI debut

Pakistan left-arm spinner Arafat Minhas took five wickets on his ODI debut against Australia. He became the first bowler from Pakistan to take five wickets on his ODI debut.

Arafat Minhas took 5 wickets for 32 runs at the Pindi Cricket Stadium. Thanks to his devastating bowling, Australia’s strong batting line collapsed for 200 runs.

He led five Australian players to the pavilion, including dangerous batsmen like Matthew Short, Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne and Cameron Green.

This was Pakistan’s 1000th ODI match. Pakistan became the third team in the world to reach this milestone.

It may be recalled that earlier Zakir Khan took 4 wickets on debut against New Zealand in 1984 and Abdul Qadir also took 4 wickets in 1983.
