WhatsApp Introduces New Group Feature

Instant messaging platform WhatsApp has introduced a new feature related to groups for users, after which people joining a group will now be able to be aware of old conversations.

Under the new update, when a user is added to a group, group members will be able to share the chats that took place before their joining, so that they can better understand the ongoing conversation. Before this, a person joining a group could not see old messages, due to which joining busy groups often caused confusion.

According to the company, the current procedure will also be maintained, that is, group members will share old chats to reach new members. However, admins have been given the option to keep this feature active or turn it off, so that the privacy and control of the group can be maintained.
