WhatsApp Introduces New Design for Chat Bubbles

Instant messaging app WhatsApp is changing the way chats look for its users. The company has started rolling out a new design of rounded chat bubbles to make conversations look more modern and sleek.
The update is currently rolling out to a select few Android beta users, while the company is also working on improving the overall messaging experience.
The initial look of this design was first seen in a beta version, but now some users have started seeing the feature in the new Android beta version 2.26.10.2 released via the Google Play Store.
The new style replaces the old relatively sharp and angular message bubbles with completely rounded, pill-shaped bubbles. These bubbles appear slightly longer and smoother than before, giving the chat screen a cleaner and more modern feel.
Previously, WhatsApp message bubbles were more rectangular and hard-edged. Although they took up less space, they sometimes felt bulky and blocky. The new design aims to soften those harsh lines and make the overall style of the chat more simple and pleasant.
