Tamil actor Jay's journey to embrace Islam, his heart changed after seeing everyone equal in the mosque

Jay, a well-known actor of the Tamil film industry, shared his story of converting to Islam in a recent interview. He said that he officially converted to Islam in 2019, but spiritually, this journey had begun in 2011. According to him, it was not a momentary decision but a result of personal experiences and a search for inner peace.

He said that he first went through various religious experiences, including wearing a rosary for Sabarimala and then a tendency towards Christianity. Some of the behaviors encountered in the temples disappointed him and questions grew from within.

Talking about his first experience in the mosque, Jay said that there he was standing in a row like an ordinary worshipper and offering prayers. People knew that he was a famous actor, but during the prayers, no one paid any attention and even when he came out, he was met very politely, no one even tried to take a picture. This experience left the deepest impression on his heart that here all humans are truly equal, there are no VIPs, everyone is one in front of Allah.

Jay said that the atmosphere of the mosque was completely new to him where there is no rush or pressure and one can perform his worship in peace. After converting to Islam, there has been a significant change in his thinking and personality.

It should be noted that Jay started his film journey in 2002 with the current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Vijay.
