Important progress for the launch of 5G service in Pakistan

There has been significant progress in the country regarding the launch of high-speed internet technology 5G. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority is likely to issue 5G licenses to telecom companies this week.

According to PTA officials, 5G licenses will be provided in three phases. In the first phase, telecom companies will have to submit a bank guarantee. In the second phase, approval will be given by the licensing authority, while in the third phase, after testing the system, the companies will be issued a formal certificate.

According to officials, the three telecom companies that won the bid will be issued licenses at the same time. One company has already submitted a bank guarantee for the 5G license, while the remaining two companies are also expected to submit guarantees in a day or two.

According to the PTA, each telecom company will have to submit a bank guarantee of $ 15 million to fulfill the conditions of the license. After that, the PTA will hold a license signing ceremony with the three companies, which is likely to be held in Islamabad this week.

It should be remembered that the PTA has recently completed the auction process of 5G spectrum in the country, after which preparations for the practical launch of the service have now been accelerated.
